This was from the FA Cup Final this year --you need to ensure the sound is turned on on the video.

Sounds like some of the arguments I used to hear outside the Cats Whiskers at 2.30 am on Saturday night in 1986.

CiB ---This is serious stuff because this is what FIFA are promoting throughout football and it is what the fans all want because they do not trust referees to make correct decisions, even though this was a totally correct decision which Michale made without VAR anyway, however, they had to have their say.

To clarify the conversation:- White subtitles are Michael Oliver
Yellow subtitles are the assistant referee - I think it's Ian Hussin.
Pink subtitles are Neil Swarbrick - the VAR

It always will be just a game to me, fortunately----for this season anyway!

I am going to go with the flow and try and be more optimistic from now on Sub.We will only draw or lose to Olymiakos on Thursday but that is a blessing because we can then concentrate on the PL and keeping Man U from scoring 5 or 6 on Sunday. That is brilliant also because we can then concentrate on preparing for the games which will only be at the weekend against the mid table clubs. Then when we are still in the bottom 3 at Christmas,I will be overjoyed with the prospect of a relegation battle because that is where we belong after all.If we don`t sign any decent players over the January window well cest la vie we need to prepare for life in the Championship.
Then when we actually do get relegated it will be high fives with my boys and will really make my Summer because I can then look forward to watching BFC play teams of a similar level and winning some games for a change.Well I can watch the highlights because the matches will not be covered so that will make me one happy guy.I never realised what a fool I have been.

I think that you posted this on the wrong thread CiB --was it not intended for the optimism thread? That seems to be what you are having a dig at because I refuse to be negative about the game of football which is played by Burnley FC.

May I just suggest that you be happy in your world because I am more than happy in mine and football is only a minor part of it for the last 67 seasons. It is only a game and always will be.

Just to clarify that I enjoy every game at the Turf no matter what because I am still able to make the journey and there is a lot to be said for that, particularly after my little episode at Christmas. Burnley are not the best team in the World but they are my team and always will be.
