Thread: o/t has the revolution already happened....

o/t has the revolution already happened....

    without anyone noticing?

No protests in the streets, no battles with police, no barricades.....no manifestos but let's face it the commies are running the country.....on a cultural level at least.

Every film, song, and soap opera, has the same message: outsiders ( a metaphor for immigrants) always turn out to be good. Black, gay and Lesbian people are kinder, wittier and more compassionate. People who believe in family values and don't believe that *** is the answer to all life problems are somehow defective and inferior.

My 8 part drama about a traditional, culturally (not politically) conservative family in the North of England has not even been looked at by the TV companies. It is superbly written but apparently the content is not leftwing or diverse enough to be considered.

Not sure if there are any other conservative artists out there who can relate to what I am saying but if there are, they will tell you the reds are in complete control of artistic production in this country.

Just to prove a point, I sent an opening scene to a company ( poorly written and badly constructed) about an unemployed Afghani bi***ual who suffers from psoriasis and I have somebody interested.

Anyway if I don't get any luck I have considered releasing my 8 part drama on Millersmad....so you guys won't miss out.

Don't you ever get bored of writing this rubbish, K? We certainly get bored of reading it! I thought that the character "IBS" had moved to the USA months ago, as promised? How come he's still on Millersmad? Need to keep a better record of what you have posted my old son - try to avoid self contradiction. Must try harder (as your old teacher at RGS, Dicky Mint, probably used to write on your essays)
What happened to Tom Bonce? Was he banned? Surprising that IBS is still allowed to drone on (yawn)

I don’t think politics has anything to do with story writing and I refuse to believe it. I strongly believe it’s about what people can relate too and finding an angle that’s interesting to watch or read about.

Bbc suck ass btw they haven’t had a decent comedy on tv in years and anytime they get a good tv show they sell it or change it because some twit writes in saying they are offended by something stupid like the size of a guys spoon.

I write because I love it and if some jack ass started telling me to put ponies and sweet unicorns into my fiction I’d tell them to swivel on it.

Also I’m annoyed that university’s make people honorary graduates for a book or something that an individual created without going to that university. If your not sure what I mean jk roweling got a decree from oxford without ever going after the second film came out, I find that annoying. It just feels like they are branding people they want

As a commissioning editor I have been looking for a post-watershed drama about an unemployed Afghani bi***ual. However, he/she/it would have to be living in a council house and have been abused as a child. Interested?

Had an idea in my head for years about writing a script for a social and political drama .

Set in 1984 it tells the story of a mining family dad retired through ill health due to years down the pit , he coughs considerably , mum working in a local pub behind the bar and two brothers , each on different sides to the strike .

Both married with kids , one is on strike the other works throughout , both have mortgages and wifes and kids caught up in it , they were a close family , went out together , family partys and holidayed as one , you get the picture .

The tensions in the family , dad trying to stay neutral and mum getting it from both sides in the pub .

I have several endings in mind but can't decide which one to go with .

    Maybe one day I'll give it a go , oh I haven't got a title either .

Great to see Afghanistan doing so well at cricket now - maybe if "IBS" was at all interested in sport, he could write something about their rise to fame

By the way "drama" sounds like a slightly rehashed version of "Terry and June" from what you've told us - which was out of date even back in the 70s.

    Title : Orgreave

Ending I’d go with them fighting in front of the pit just before the police come in and later them in hospital next to each other making up.

    Just an idea

Good advice, Roly. He's probably better suited to a career as a bogus doctor, bogus NHS admin worker, bogus boatbuilder, bogus model soldiers dealer, bogus seaside B&B hosteler, ... something like that
