    how many thousands of times did we stand on those terraces with those concrete crash barriers directly behind you - so you didn't get pushed around so much or crushed lol - never stand behind one haha

    Me Dad used to put me and me brother on one in the Gallowgate as a kid and stand in front of us.

    God that brings back memories man,standing in rivers of pish,cos there was nee way to get to the bogs.

    Mind, John Hall had half a mind to move us over to the Gateshead side of the river-the old Fed brewery site?

    As two cities i think there's a cracking relationship between us but i wouldn't have been over happy to go south of the Tyne to watch us.

    That's only a stone's throw away from the old Gateshead ground Redheugh Park, originally known as Johnson's Clay Hole which they had to fill in before the original stadium was built early 1930's

    In the early 60’s I remember being passed over everyone’s heads and sat on the cinder track behind the goal.

    No Health and Safety in them days.
