    Question LUFC Collectors or Museums?

Hello, Non-Leeds (or even English football) fan in peace.

A friends family has boxes of football stuff, all from a deceased football and Leeds fan who passed onover a decade ago - so not the newest of stuff either.

I don't know yet what all the items are, nor how much of it relates to Leeds Utd (it's a mix of Leeds, Irish domestic and International stuff) - nor what their exact plans with it are.

Anyway, there are several/many boxes of memorabilia. As far as I know everything from programs to pennants, videos to shirts... etc etc. I am led to believe that the bulk is LUFC stuff. The hope is to get them to those who might value them, rather than stuff being dumped. As for a plan - I have no idea. Hopefully they will be sorted to cut any waste and to split by club/interest. Being as all the stuff is in Ireland it's not exactly the optimal location for the Leeds stuff in particular. For me the priority is to ensure it isn't dumped, as I know this stuff would be of interest to some/many.

Would anyone here know people or places who might be interested? No guarantees of what is in there, yet, though I hope to help sort it soon. May be valuable, may not. As I don't know your club well I can't even glance at a program and know if it is from your clubs brightest moments or darker times. Either way, it's in Ireland and nowhere close to Leeds.

Any applicable links or contacts welcomed.

I'm only really serious about player match worn shirts (some might say I'm a bit too serious!), but probably know a few people who might be interested in more general memorabilia themselves, or would at least have a good idea of other people worth contacting.

Mick Hewitt often has programme fairs (usually advertised on here!) and I know he trades other LUFC items and has a good reach into the LUFC collecting community at large.

As you say, it would be great if the memorabilia ended up in the hands of people who'd appreciate it and, more to the point, won't rip anyone off in the process.
