There wasn’t a bad performance today, that much is true. Parkes, Devitt, Etuhu and Hope were stand-out or me. Interesting to see the look on Gerrard’s face at the end as he walked around the pitch applauding the fans. He looked like a dog chewing a wasp. Not the look of someone who has made his mind up about anything, more someone with a decision to make.

I thought that Utd did exceptionally well against a side as strong as Mansfield considering all that's gone on this week,you still have a team that believes in themselves and look an interesting prospect to anyone thinking about the managers job

Too many loaners though and two have already gone back. There’s a chance the guts could be ripped out of this team.
