I often see fans on here wondering “why is it always Notts?” and why are we constantly in the S***!
Well I think I have the answer, we haven’t appointed a manager with any real pedigree since Allardyce in 1997 with perhaps the exception of Steve Cotterill in 2010.
For over 20 years, with the odd exception, we have been asking average footballers to turn into successful managers, the footballing equivalent of looking for needle in a haystack.
Given time I think Ardley will be successful but whether that is at Notts, who knows?
