A cheeky bid and if it wins......

it goes to the Rotherham Hospice.

Sheffield Wednesday to be promoted and Sheffield United not to be promoted in the 2018/19 season @ 150/1

Just a quid but if it wins it's £150 to the Hospice.

Very good Brin, I’m not a gambler but always have a go on grand national, I’ll donate my winnings (never much if anything)

I think that's "bet", Brin? You and MMM make me feel guilty that I'm not doing more for charity and I will have to give it some serious thought. It's not widely known that my father flew in the Blenheim bomber that dropped Douglas Bader's false legs over the prison camp in Germany and I don't feel I have matched his achievement.

wendun, you're correct it is 'bet' thanks for the correction not that I'm actually fazed by it, as the 'bid' is on.

I've bought a scratch card for the RSPB.

Didn't win anything but I can tell everyone I cheekily spent money on gambling in the name of charity. Just a quid but could have been £100,000.

That's an impressive record of your old man's, crash. My father's war service ended when he crashed his motorbike in the blackout while on leave.

Yes he was a true gent. Also a member of Raid and support regiment.RSR
He was released from captivity as a prisoner exchange. As prisoners are a drain on resources.

John2, unlucky you didn't win. I have to ask, would any have gone to charity? I know your quid went to the RSPB though so well done for that. Mine was just a solitary bet I came across by chance and thought if it wins, then give it to a good cause.

PS. Plus I want to rub my mates nose in it for last Saturday how he constantly reminded me about our score at Derby.
