    Burger van

Anyone who has been to the ground has seen the Popeyes burger van on main road. Do you think it should be there?

Reason I’m asking is that the burger van is making loads of cash on Rotherham united supporters and from what I heard they do not give any money to the club because they camp on top road.

Maybe it’s just me who finds this just wrong

As long as they’ve got a permit, which they will have they are allowed to pitch there.
Rotherham United don’t own Main Street so have no say in it whatsoever.
That’s why the exit strategy fencing only goes to the end of New York Way, because once it gets to Main Street it’s away from the ground and nothing to do with the club.

He does the Barnsley games also.

If in ground catering wasn’t as overpriced as it is then Popeye’s burger van wouldn’t do a well as it does.

It’s same in every ground to be fair mate the prices are way over priced but they do it to get money for the club. My point is we go on and on about low wages and not being able to compete but in the end the main source of cash for the club is from us then the sponsors so I don’t mind paying a bit extra.

I just think they could at least sponsor a player or something

They could sponsor Joe Newell, he’s an idle burger

Silly - you could say the same about any local pub or business that benefits from match day income. i dont think the main sourse of income is the fans.

If we are talking bout loss of revenue, then the much bigger issue for me is why on earth the club don't convert an empty unit of the NY into a home and away supporters bar, with sky tv food and beer in a glass . Maybe even one at each end for home and away ? I appreciate there may be an issue with the contract with the current food and beverage supplier, but it would get used and make money I'm sure

Nothing club than do about it apart from get better catering in on concourse because the ones they have are rubbish, apart from the pukka pies, better trained staff would be good aswell (**** knows where the one that served me came from yesterday, probably slow snail house) .

They do sell burgers in WS or they did , tbh apart from pies I don’t know what they serve now
They did/do serve pizza in ES
