    Balam, my photos here

Some of you will go for a nice walking holiday ,or weekend to the fells, moorlands ,dales etc
I would like to show you what you can find and visit here.
This was a visit to the area near the West Bank, from the Israeli side. The first photo is the fence. The 1949 Armistice Agreements are a set of armistice agreements signed during 1949 between Israel and neighboring Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria to formally end the official hostilities of the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, and establish armistice lines between Israeli forces and Jordanian-Iraqi forces, also known as the Green Line.

The fence, the brown area before the fence on the Israeli side is swept every day with a jeep and barb wire,so that if anybody crosses over the fence ,The tracks can be seen. This is done by a tracker usually a bedoin arab, as a boy they herd their goats, and know to look out for tracks if a goat is missing.

Um-Al -Fahm: Overlooking Wadi Ara.Umm al-Fahm means "Mother of Charcoal" in Arabic, it is the social, cultural and economic center for residents of the Wadi Ara and Triangle regions. A Palestinian town inside Israel (60 k population). The Arabs build large houses,as can be seen. In 1596, it had a population of 24 households, all Muslim, and paid taxes on wheat, barley, summer crops, olive trees, occasional revenues, goats and/or beehives, and a press for olive oil or grape syrup.
