Dog bothers have done a great piece of business in the Mooy deal....
Why can’t we do this?
“His new contract runs to at least 2022 and means he technically remains a Town player. That protects his valuation should the club receive an acceptable offer to sell him down the line - but leaves the door open for him to return to the John Smith's Stadium if his immediate return to Premier League action does not pan out as he might hope or even if Town enjoy another promotion of their own in his absence.
Town head coach Jan Siewert said: "Aaron was adamant that he wanted to test himself again in the Premier League when Brighton’s interest came in, and we didn’t want an issue where we had a disillusioned player on the pitch in the final year of his contract.
"We had to look after the interests of Huddersfield Town and couldn’t let him leave on a free at the end of the season, so him signing a new contract ahead of his loan move gives the Club and the player possibilities for the future.”
