    Fylde's 'stonewall' penalty

I've just listened to an interview with Fylde's manager in which he claims they were denied a 'stonewall' penalty. Can anyone figure out when this actually was? I don't remember any incident that I thought might have led to a penalty, I don't even remember any of their players appealing for one at any point. I'm a bit baffled.

Blimey that is a proper old school blame culture they've got up there!

He seemed to say it was a penalty as a player put sand on the ball? Not because of a foul.

I think he was referring to when their player fouled ours in the box and he picked the ball up. The ref gave the foul. There was never any question that it was a penalty. He also mentioned that Slocombe made loads of saves. I only remember one of note which was basically their only realistic chance.

Stallard mentioned it in his post-match chat with Charlie, said we got away with a handball

Did I hear the manager right when he said there was a handball in the opinion of “their” players or did he say “the” players and I am just struggling with his accent. If so for those who were there at the game at what point did Notts Corinthians start appealing for a penalty to Fylde? Maybe I am being biased but give me NA’s type of man management any day of the week whereby blame is not so blatantly attributed to named individuals for their mistakes.

Was it in the second half? I think our left back threw himself at the ball head first and looked like he 'klinsmaned' into the ball with his arms.
Could of been given by a ref in my opinion, but we were a way back so what do i know.

Yes it was Rose. Dived headfirst at the ball on the ground, it did look like there was some hand on ball contact but it didn’t look intentional and he was also being challenged by one of their players which made it all look a little clumsy and Keystone Kopsy. Thought the 4th official did ok after he came on.
