Dat man Ardley, he's the tops. Good interview.
His interviews are generally worth listening to - he's honest, smart and engaging. I'm willing him to succeed as he comes across as a top bloke - which you couldn't say about some of our previous managers. Now he just needs to get the team performing consistently well and getting into the habit of winning again.
Just based on the highlights of Tuesday's game, it is amazing the tight margins are between a win and a defeat. Boreham Wood had plenty of half-chances on Tuesday and if one of those goes in in the first half, we probably go on to lose. Or if the ref sends Slocombe off for kicking out after the penalty, we probably concede an equaliser. And managers' fates rest on such margins.
Good interview and good to hear more personal stuff from him.
Thanks for the link. A very insightful interview. Ardley comes across in a very sensible and committed way. I think it is interesting to hear his thoughts on the situation he inherited when he joined Notts, particularly the fitness of the players and the facilities at his disposal.
I hope he gets the success with Notts that I believe both he and the supporters deserve.
Excellent interview. Ardley comes across as a genuine and committed manager and more importantly to me, he deeply cares about our club. If anyone deserves success it’s this man.
I told you lot that we'd landed a diamond but we needed patience. He will get it right. Now bleddy listen to me.

Agreed. I thought he was a good appointment by AH but have always wondered whether it came too soon for him as he clearly needed a break after his Wimbledon days. I think he alludes to that in the interview. I had suggested at the start of this season that mid table consolidation would satisfy me without flirting with relegation but I was frustrated with defeats at Yeovil and Bromley as I think the squad is capable of achieving more. However I can see improvements in performances and results and, whilst it is going to be tough with the current injury issues, we seem to have the depth to deal with those problems. I think I am just going to have rein in my renewed expectations and sensibly stick with my early season feelings. From Neal’s position whilst his stock seems low with the majority on this site I think it is much higher with the new owners who did not have to endure the misery of last season and they will give him a fair chance to achieve the success we all crave for the club. The players also seem to like him and I expect them to give their all for the club (and the manager) as ultimately Neal is dependent on them to keep him in this job. Not sure we could say the same about some of the players last season!
Enjoy the game tomorrow and I am planning to get my first live taste of the National League when Notts host Barrow in mid November. I am hoping that there will be continued improvement both on and off the pitch in the meantime.

I really like this bloke and am desperately wanting him to be a success.
It’s worth pointing out he attended Stuart Brothers funeral last Monday and turned up on his own.
