    Rafa and Rondon

    Now struggling after good start.
They have lost 5 out of last 7 in all competitions have dropped to ninth in league and are out of the cup.

Rondon had a decent start but hasn't scored since August and Rafa has recently benched him.

I still wish they were still at the Toon though I think they would both be better here.

As good as Rondon was last season and even if we were being run as an ambitious club, I suspect his wage demands at the age he was at the time would've been testing to say the least, especially if the reports were true about what he's getting in China. If it's true that Shelvey is on about £80K and is the current top earner, how much higher would the club be realistically prepared to pay - £100K, £120K, £150K? All hypothetical under the current bunch of tõssers of course.

It's the fact we still have Ashley as owner that should worry and concern us.Not what Rafa and Rondon are doing.Wish them well but couldn't give a shìt what is happening in China.

Rafa's likely working with a Chinese championship squad and likely won't have control of things or the money to buy in the top class players he needs.
The man needs time, he's only on 12 million a season and was brought in to enhance the club which he has done....hasn't he?
    Has he?

I haven’t seen anything in his game to suggest he is a Striker

Rafa has only played 14 games and won 6 over there.Be okay once his squad/team has had time to gel and get used to his way of playing.
