Radio and TV between now and January 2nd

Is there any bugger actually working in the broadcast media between now and January 2nd?

It seems that each media organisation has put on a massive disk a lot of programmes that were recorded several weeks ago and indeed compilations of best of / old shite. So there's just one person working now at each organisation in case the playing of this massive disk fucks up. He / she then simply switches on a copy of the disc on duplicate kit.

Local news media are not doing anything current. It is clear that they are not out there reporting on current news. They are obviously using stuff that they have had 'in the can' for several weeks. Maybe even their introductions to this and the content are all on the massive disk that we are experiencing the contents of.

I’m on disk, and I have been for several years. I just look in every June and put in a new disk with about 100 auto-replies to posts, including this one.
