    A decade of the Rams.

See the DT has been running a feature on player, match and team of the last decade.

They go for Craig Bryson...I think Richard Keogh...making the way his Derby career ended all the sadder.

Few arguments over the match...Derby 5 v Forest 0 from approaching six years ago, but Derby 4 v Brighton 1 in the play off semi final from a couple of months later took it close imo.

Then the team - in a 4-3-3 and assuming everyone to be fit and at their best - they came up with...Carson, Brayford, Keogh, Barker, Forsyth, Bryson, Thorne, Hughes, Ince, Martin, Commons.

Would that side win promotion? I’d have Dean Moxey over Forsyth.

They didn’t mention the manager...McClaren (Mk1 only) for me.

    Thoughts?

Assuming everyone at their best, the you can't leave Rooney out! Hendrick worth a place on the bench I'd think.

I guess loanees are not applicable

RA Moxey still playing for Exeter but I would have Forsyth over him An injury free Forsyth was a very good left back closely followed by Mceverly not many got the better of him ( well not in one piece) Agree with you about Keogh hard to make an argument about the rest maybe Commons he so often got the goals when we were not on it

Wrong decade, Parky. It’s just finished...Rooney hasn’t started

Agree about Hendrick. They didn’t do a ‘bench’ but I’d have thought he might be worthy of a place in the team.

    You’re right...they didn’t include loanees.

Mista...Moxey has now clocked up just under 500 league appearances...I always rated him. Pity he fell out with Nigel...still only 33, he’d have saved us a lot.

Carson, Bogle, Keogh, Tomori, Cole, Wilson, Thorne, Hendrick, Ibe, Mount, Martin.

    Player of decade: Keogh.

    Manager: Mac

I’d agree with you, Keogh just a shade over Bryson, you know of course I’d go for the 5-0, I wouldn’t pick Thorne but not sure who I would pick, other than that fair call

Fit, Thorne would, IMO, have played for England. As it was, we only saw what he was capable of on far too few occasions.

Very possibly, MA. He’s a strange one to include in some ways, a massive impact, but almost six years ago now and sadly, owing to injury, a very brief high point from a player who has contributed little since.
At his best he’s a ‘shoo in’ but given that his best was so infrequent maybe Hendrick or Savage. I know the latter can be irritating but at his best he showed massive commitment and was a better footballer than some give credit for imo.

The pantomime villain could play. He wouldn't have had the career he did if he couldn't. However, I'd have Bryson, Hughes and Hendrick on the team sheet in preference to Sav

Yes very true who didn't fall out with Nigel personally I can't stand him . Was always a winger ,still is I heard him on the radio yesterday going on about being unfair that some teams played Bolton early on when they had to play their U23 side But they have to play them now they have recruited ffs
