    FA Cup standing

FA Cups standing summed up by Liverpool's line up today. 9 changes from normal starting line up. Makes a joke out of the competition when premiership teams put out B sides in every round bar the final. Time to enforce clubs to play an amount, say 80%, of their "normal", strongest team over the last dozen or so league games.

Of those listed probably 2 at best would be considered for a league start.

Already lost Milner to injury so is it really worth them playing their 'first teamers' when other competitions are more lucrative?

I've noticed in the Premiership that lower teams have started putting out weaker teams against the Big 6 and saving their better players for winnable games against lower opposition in order to fight off relegation.

Considering all the cup competitions that Liverpool have been through in the past 21 days, is there any wonder so many are injured or just sheer fatigued? Anyway, it's great to see the next crop off the Liverpool conveyor belt and dare I say, future England Players.

Philips looks a good solid defender, can't Warne get on the phone and ask if we can take him for the rest of the season? Don't hurt to ask......

Lucrative is the sad fact of it CAM the number 18 cost twice what the club would get for winning the competition

Liverpool could make more money by just touring a factory in bloody China so why bother with FA cup Probably goes through their minds

Just sad that it’s not being taken seriously

Doubtful Liverpool will be sending Phillips out on loan just yet.
They've just fetched him back from his loan at Stuttgart because they have injury problems in defence.
If he doesn't go back out on loan and Liverpool still have injury problems I would expect Phillips to be pushing for a starting place in the first team.
    Decent player certainly.

Doesn't say much about Everton that they can't beat the Liverpool youth team.

Reiterates the old adage that there are two great football teams on Merseyside, Liverpool and Liverpool Reserves
