    MK Dons Post Match Thoughts

A day like today only comes around once every 4 years. Probably two points lost rather than a point gained but not quite the full banana skin fall it could have been against a decent team. Still on top for now though and a Sunderland win tomorrow will really open up the run in as has a few of the other results today. Most Millers will probably be down tonight but not as much as Ipswich fans who cannot now get an automatic promotion place if the expected 83/84 points are the target.

    Thoughts?

Disappointed but not down. We played well today. Missed Barlaser in mid field. Crooks not as good without him. 1 unbelievable miss and another from Smith, a header which should have found the net. We can still get enough wins to go up automatically so we must believe. UTM!!

Must learn to kill games off. Had we got a 2nd before they equalised we would have gone on to win comfortably. Deffo 2 points dropped

1 loss in 14 league games is good form but 3 draws from last 4 has left the door open for a few.
Pressure does strange things and whilst most say I'd sooner have points than games in hand. I would sooner be chasing like Portsmouth/Sunderland than just out Infront clinging to scrappy points.

Horrid pressure today especially with Portsmouth winning last night and 2nd and 4th playing tomorrow..
Tbh I hope Coventry win tomorrow. Get the pressure of top spot away from us.

Btw. The shout for handball in 2nd half
Imo hit him on the top of arm.
He had his arm by his side but lent into it. Deff pen.

In defence to the Ref he obviously couldn't see what happened with the crowd of players involved so, he looked to his assistant with arms open asking what he saw and for me HE was the one who should have given the penalty.

The player used his body to block the ball and in effect used his arm to assist in us not benefiting from it.

Our finishing today was woeful. Smith should seek someone to help him to learn how to head a ball into the ground in front of the net and not bloody upwards! Freddie, took his first goal well but how the heck do you miss from 6 yards out
with absolutely no one on you?

To many stupid points dropped to teams in the lower half of the table........why? These should all be 3 points gained!

Ladapo had plenty of time to pick his spot there, bad miss, but good goal earlier.

Looking like play-offs to me as Portsmouth, Coventry and Sunderland look better.
