    Joe Linton

Played full time. Again. No goals.

I didn't watch the game and I know he got an assist, but come the fuck on.... He needs to be rested, for the sake of his confidence and simply because he doesn't deserve to play based on form.

The joke has gone on for too long now. When Gayle came on, it was for the Saint - who was dropped for the Burnley in the weekend!!!

Is Brucey being told to play him full time? Is that why Allan and Sørensen aren't getting the chance, even in the cup?

Didnt watch the game but Joelinton must be rested? He played good game. Helped team to win and contributed. Of course he should score more but crucifying him after this game is simply wrong.

Crucifying? I'm simply pointing out the fact that he is getting more game time than any other player in his position would have gotten based on his (horrible) form this season.

This, in turn, will also lead to the younger, talented strikers thinking they will never get a chance here.

Joelinton has been so poor over nearly all our games this season that he looked so much better last night.
He had a great run down the left to the byeline, cut in and shot and was unlucky not to score and the back heel assist was class. However, he was poor holding up the ball and dispossessed on a few times that I saw.
IMO he put in an acceptable performance but let’s not get carried away remembering the opposition. The way we were dominating them for most of the game it was a perfect game for him to fo more.
I hope he gets some confidence and pushes on ( but I don’t see the Prem as his level).

very good first half but he needs to build on it now with goals and sadly thats where the problem lies

Maybe I used too harsh words. I dont always use right words. I wouldt drop him for this performance. He has been frustrating and in my opinion played in wrong role. Last night he played well. Could be because we attacked more and kept possession.

I also don't think that his poor form is entirely up to himself - bad management and poor tactics play a part as well - but after all this system has been used before with players who played the role better than he is doing.

It's not a crusade against him, but he needs some time on the bench.

He’s a terrible footballer man if he had of came in for £5 million fans would still be crucifying him.

A price tag of £40 million is bordering on the ridiculous that is if that is what Ashley actually paid for him. I have my doubts on this figure though

You can imagine FCB’s dilema: do I maintain that I paid 43 million and continue to be a laughing stock or do I say how much I really paid and blow the pretense that I have spent some decent money on a player?

Let’s not forget (in relation to Rafa): “Joelinton was the test”

    😂😂😂
