With the Premier League now likely to start postponing games with players and Managers having Covid-19 it’s my belief that this season will now not be completed.
The next four weeks according to the Government will see us in the peak of the outbreak and it will extend for four to six weeks in the peak.
I simply cannot see this season completing and it’s my view there will be no relegation or promotion.
All leagues? So Liverpool denied the title?
I don't really see how you could do that, the lawyers would be busy. Maybe an extended season, even possibly delaying the start of next season but no promo or rele? Not likely IMHAHO. Health experts now saying that 60% of the pop NEED to contract Covid 19 to develop a 'Herd immunity', nice...............
There will be all sorts of legal ramifications if they just abandoned the season.
The more realistic approach is to suspend the euros for a year and extend the season.
Now let's go to the Winchester have a pint and wait till this all blows over
It'll have to be extended that's for sure as they'll be too many games postponed over the next couple of months. I don't see how they can just abandon the season with no outcome.
There's talk of the virus coming back repeatedly and I'm not sure how quickly we're going to be able to return to normal life after the worst of it. Next season could be heavily disrupted as well.
If the virus causes as much disruption to public life as some are predicting, it might be a better idea to spread the remaining games out between September-January, then have am extended winter break, then play the Euros in the spring but spread the fixtures out more. As the Euros is not in one country, they could do this.
I just do not think it's ethical to gift the likes of Norwich a 2nd season in the PL and deny Leeds etc.
It’s just a game of football... who cares?
Some people seem to be taking this seriously.... meanwhile in lil ole Ingerland
