Barnet - Given notice to all non playing staff

It was inevitable but today Barnet announce they have put the entire clubs staff on notice.

All the first team managers, academy and backroom staff have been given notice.

Their fans don't expect them to have a club when/if the season resumes.

Whilst it was to be expected that some clubs would fall into difficulty over this crisis, that a club is already in big trouble as a direct result of Covid-19 after just a few days is pretty shocking.

Unfortunately, I fear they could be one of many in the lower leagues if this drags on for a long time. I suppose that given the message from our owners today, it's something we might even benefit from. It would be a horrible way to get back in the Football League however, I would much rather we did it on merit than through the demise of other clubs.

If Barnet's results were to be expunged as the NL resumed, we'd be up to 2nd and three points closer to Barrow.

Barnet may well be a footy club but they are a business as well. Surely they would qualify for the Gov's short term rescue loans?
