Following the success of my Betting Game on the Notts Forum a couple of seasons ago, I thought what can I do during this time of no football, social distancing and self isolation to bring a bit of fun to the forum?
The answer I've come up with is NOTTS COUNTY BINGO.
It's simple to play. Each week I'll come up with a 22 man squad from different Notts' eras. The first squad is from the 1920/21 to 1924/5 seasons.
Simply pick 1 Goalkeeper, 2 Full Backs, 3 Half Backs, 2 Wingers, 2 Inside Forwards and 1 Centre Forward from the list of players.
Each day (Monday to Sunday) 2 random players will be drawn. You score 1 point for every player you have in your team. If you complete the defence you score an extra 6 points, complete the forwards an extra 5 points. The game ends when someone has all 11 players or on the 7th day.
I'll record each participant's score and a new game will start the following Monday. Notts County Bingo will run and the points be accumulated until the period of my self-isolation ends or if I get the coronavirus, whichever is the sooner.
Anyone interested? I'll need a minimum of 10 participants to make it worthwhile to organise.
The first game will start on Monday 30th March and end on Sunday 5th April. The squad for game one is below.
