Following on from the corona virus thread but totally different, as the piont about teacher's salaries has come up I'll make what I consider is an important point.

For a long time now I have never understood, using say a dentist as an example, why a dentist who cares only for children's teeth, has a salary almost twice that of a teacher who cares for and develops children's minds and brains.

Think of every single successful peron on the planet in whatever sphere they may be in, their mind and brain has been developed and nurtured by teachers.

Granted some children are natural geniuses and have been gifted with unusually highly developed brains but it still requires the teacher to recognise this and develop it to it's true potential.
