What are you listening to at the minute

Great idea by Milburn. Depending on the level of interest we might just widen the scope of this one to a general shit you like' thread or possibly start at 'favourite tracks' thing.

Anyway...this is the last thing I listened to and it's mint.. I lost my best mate to fucking cancer this morning and he was an absolute diamond. Tell people you love them, take opportunities when you get them and live your life.

    Enjoy.

Mixture of trad jazz from the 50's onwards, particularly Monty Sunshines Just a Closer walk With Thee and The Old Rugged Cross.

He puts a lot of feeling into it (old negro sprituals) for a Jewish clarinetist.

Thanks, Bil. Sad, sad times. We shared a love of the band I put up a link to so it seemed appropriate today.

    de-lurking...

My favourite track from my favourite album by my favourite band

Maybe not everyone’s cup of tea but its been with me for nearly 45 years.
I bought the album at the old Virgin Records in Eldon Square, not long after it opened up.
A long time ago –but remember it like it was yesterday. Still have the album as well.

Liam Gallaghers latest album is really good
    As is Sam fenders
I love almost every genre there is only good and bad music.
Most of what I listen to depends on the mood I’m in at the time.
I really love songs that tell a story..

I'm with you on the story telling songs, a lot of today's songs are repetitive rubbish. Gordon Lightfoot's stuff was good.
