Wycombe Chairman calls for season to end.

A Chairman with some common sense, or is it because if they go by points gained per game they could finish 3rd, id the EFL call time on this season?

I don’t agree with the points per game system because them that played Bolton early on against academy players had an advantage.

Either end now with the league standings as it is or just void it all together and get on with starting next season.

If clubs don’t like it then it’s tough, I’d prefer lives being more important than football.
If they sue then shows what they are imo and that’s ****s

Whilst common sense and choosing to own a football club are not obvious partners, I suspect that he will be one of the first of many to make similar calls. The government couldn't possibly agree to matches being played behind closed doors whilst simultaneously requiring people to only leave their houses when essential. The focus now should be on making sure that next season is able to get a clean start.

That's a good observation regarding Bolton.
The teams that played them eArly and have already played them twice do seem to have an advantage.

A really ludicrous suggestion recently is to house all the players in one big hotel and try and play out the fixtures there.
That will just create many new problems and challenges.
    Crazy

The Wycombe Chairman sounds and looks like a real rootin' tootin' doodle dandy type fella. Yee ha!!

I think playing out the remaining games behind closed doors and in a short time frame is both unrealistic and not very satisfying for anyone.

How about we complete the season by penalty shoot out. Five players plus goalkeeper from each team play out remaining fixtures through a penalty shoot out all at a single location. Could easily get all the 'games' completed in a couple of days. If it's good enough for deciding a World Cup Final....

I'm only half joking. I've see worse/more impractical ideas.

Maybe the Pools panel could decide the results?

Can't see how the games can be played out in any fashion.

IF they were played then surely the players would no longer be furloughed as they would be re-employed (?)

Therefore clubs would have to pay full wages (including win bonuses etc) with no crowd income

In the 60s and early 70s, European ties that were still level after 2 legs and extra time were decided on the toss of a coin. Wonder how today's world would accept the same resolution.
