    RIP Jimmy

From where we used to stand during his time with us, covered area on Millmoor Lane just in front of the refreshments bar, he could do no wrong for some and no right for others. I guess little has changed over the last 50 years?

I would say there a few more of the can do no right fans nowadays, that’s just my feeling. Jimmy was a steady player for us, near the end of his career, never a world beater, but bought to do a job for us and he did. Helped get us out of the old 4th div. As a young fan back then it was happy days. Fond memories.

Jimmy was in the 1st millers team I saw, and therefore spent a couple of years on my bedroom wall. RIP Jimmy, thanks for your appearences in my young life.

He looked about 78 when he was playing.
Affectionately known at the time as the living fossil.
Decent player and best wishes to his family

Remember him well from the mid 70's and the promotion season.
Underrated player for us, he did the basics and used his experience to good effect.

    RIP Jimmy Goodfellow.

Yes, he got some stick from some. Remember some bloke near me shouting about he's supposed to be a 'forrud' because he wore the number 10 !

Few will have seen his 25 yarder at Exeter in a 4-0 win in the promotion season.
