I just discovered last week that the old Speccy Kevin Toms Football Manager game from the 80s is available for my Ipad. I've downloaded it, I think it cost £2.99, and I've already got Burnley from the old D4 into D1 and into Europe. It's so simple and basic and yet so playable and addictive it's bloody hard to put it down once you start. In one respect it's more realistic now, back in the day taking Burnley from D4 to D1 and into Europe was obviously something that could only happen in a computer game, it could never happen in real life. It's just mirroring real life now, except that I have Raheem Sterling playing for us, I think that's still one for fantasy land.

I am busy converting a spare room into my boudoir.

I have put the electrical sockets in (and they work!) I am now installing lighting.

I hadn't done any electrics for decades but I found it really interesting.

My veggy patch is also coming along nicely - I should have a glut of brussels sprouts, beetroot and other stuff available later.

Also active doing stuff in my role as a councillor...although I am limited as to what I can do here because we have two 90 year olds in the house.

But doing the weekly shop is the highlight of my week.

    Never bored!
