O/T How will you celebrate VE Day?

Covid-19 curtailed any plans to hold any big events, all the boozers are closed but all is not lost, the weather looks good today.

How will you celebrate and pay your respects to a selfless generation who gave their lives for our freedom?

Not how I intended. Quiet day at home by the look of things.

Its very muted around this village where I now live, I've got flag and bunting out but definitely in the minority. Back in Rotherham the small cul-de-sac where we lived are already in full swing with their party.

YAK. You are a true gentleman and a hero pal.
To be awarded the medals you have is a true testament to yours and your colleagues bravery.
Respect and thanks from me to all.

Outside already trimmed up with Bunting, flags, pictures of Churchill and images of the VE day celebrations from 1945.

Got to say we're proper in the minority though which I find quite shameful. The way people go over the top for Halloween but can't be ar5ed to do something to acknowledge what so many people did and the sacrifices they made makes me sick.

I thank and salute all the heroes.
