Who Am I Quiz (No 48)

Can anyone stop great_fire? Does anyone want to? I'll post new clues regularly (at least daily). I won't be responding to guesses until someone is correct. Guess as many times as you like. There's no O/T in the title so obviously it's football related. Here we go. Good luck.

I am in the Guinness Book of Records.

I was sold for a club record transfer fee after just one appearance.

I played for my country at U19 but never made it at senior levels.

You can count my goals over a 15 year career on the fingers of a Barnsley hand.

If I lived in Rotherham, I would never have had to travel more than 80 miles to any of my 7 teams.

I played the majority of my games at the 2nd level of English football.

After my record transfer, I played just twice for my new club and then moved on for free.

    I am Jack Hobbs

I am in the Guinness Book of Records. Youngest player to have played at all 4 levels of the English game.

I was sold for a club record transfer fee after just one appearance. 750K from Lincoln City to Liverpool.

I played for my country at U19 but never made it at senior levels. I did.

You can count my goals over a 15 year career on the fingers of a Barnsley hand. 6 goals over 15 years in 346 games.

If I lived in Rotherham, I would never have had to travel more than 80 miles to any of my 7 teams. Lincoln, Liverpool, S****horpe, Leicester, Hull, Forest, Bolton

I played the majority of my games at the 2nd level of English football. A few games in the Premiership and now in League 1 but mostly The Championship.

After my record transfer, I played just twice for my new club and then moved on for free. For Liverpool then a free transfer to Leicester City.

    Unpublished clue

My namesake, a star in another sport, preceded me by almost a century. Jack Hobbs, cricketer.

A pyrrhic victory, I'll have to win one of the next (last?) two now or be stuck on unlucky 13.

Well done GF 13 a great score, I'd do better if I had heard of them. Only Jack Hobbs I've heard of played cricket. Doh

I'll be honest Jake I'd never heard of him but came across him when I was doing some research so threw him in thinking he'd buy me some time to line up the next one. The fact that I've never heard of a player is probably no great measure though, having been abroad for 20+ years it's very rare I've heard of anyone we sign
