Use to like Walker but proved himself a ****er to me after reading this bit in the article ‘ He said the reports were affecting his and his family's mental health, ‘ tbh I find that degrading.

Hi,1st time messaging in here.i find myself absolutely disgusted in this so called role model.its been reported that this so called example of humanity for us so called mere mortals to look upto, has broken lockdown by at least 3 times.im wondering what makes him so different to us that he thinks the rules awarded to us by government dont fall on his gracious kind.after been linked to the 3 times of breaking the rules he has the audacity to blame the media and spouts out"you dont know what I'm going through,my life is so tough".jeez you wanna live at the top of a tower block with a family of say 6,no pay,no food etc.he pops to his mums and sister over in Sheffield to pick up ready made meals etc"he must be struggling".but the comments he makes about he has to look out for his wife and kids etc,yes of course indeed...but where was his thoughts for his family when in the first few weeks of lockdown he was hosting a party at his house with *** workers.im sorry but in my opinion he should have at least been reprimanded by his club,it proves that these very privileged people think they are better than us.the man is a disgrace. Sorry for the rant, but he makes my blood boil

Just another one who thinks the rules are for somebody else and because of his status as a top PL footballer it doesn't apply to him .
As for his statement on feeling harassed , keep of feckin social media then you bell end , it's not mandatory .
As I don’t agree that footballers should be seen as role models I do think he’s behaved like a spoilt brat who is above the rules through this.
He played like a winger when they battered us in the cup. Only time he was in his own half was every time there was a kick off after a goal.
Ah yes the old mental health excuse
That's becoming a bit like the racist card that's used all too frequently in an attempt to deflect criticism
I'm not here to argue his case but bear this in mind. There are tens of thousands of 'roll model' athletes here in the US, all have been under varying degrees of 'stay at home' directions. I haven't seen one report of any athlete 'breaking' the law although I'm sure many will have been doing the same things that Walker has done. It doesn't mean there haven't been reports, US is a big country, but I certainly haven't seen anything reported at a national level creating national outcry. No wonder the UK tabloids get such a bad press!
