Only one team will be relegated. The alterations in the EFL for the Bury demise would leave 23 teams in Tier 4 for next season, so only one team will go down and two will come up. The problem is that Macclesfield Town have yet to get an EFL decision on an outstanding breaking of the rules, not promptly paying their players. If this had been a normal season with all matches played the the imminent decision would have allowed Macclesfield Town and Stevenage to battle out the relegation issue. But as it stands the League Two season is finished. so the EFL decision on Macclesfield's sin will immediately relegate either Macclesfield or Stevenage with no more games taking place. That is a tad awkward and I can see a legal case occurring whichever way the Macclesfield Town issue is decided.
Macclesfield should be relegated due to all of their shenanigans earlier in the season when they didn't fulfil fixtures,I wouldn't be surprised if a club couldn't afford to carry on if the start of next season is behind closed doors, clubs are already started to get rid of anybody that's not essential and Neil Ardley has stated that any player wanting to sign a new contract will have to take a 35-40% paycut,I don't know how many resigned but Notts have just unloaded a dozen or so players so there's going to be a saturated market soon
