    Programmes

It's been released that Albion will be producing the normal match day programmes for the remaining televised home fixtures this season. Brentford, who use the same printers, are doing the same. I realise that some of you will disagree but as an avid collector since a young lad I'm quite pleased. I wonder if the other clubs will do the same.

My parents gave away all my old programmes when I lived in NZ. However, a few weeks ago I came across 5 in an old box in the loft. If you are interested in any of them I would be happy to post them to you. They are

    Home Div 2 v Sunderland 29.9.73
    Home Div 2 v Carlisle United 13.10.73
    Home Div 2 v Oxford United 28.9.74
    Home Div 2 v Nottingham Forest 19.10.74
Home FA cup replay v Bolton Wanderers 8.1.75

That's very kind of you. However, I do have all of these programmes but thanks again for the offer.

Came across the FA Youth Final programs against Wolves the other day. Anyone remember scores and scorers?

We won 5-0 over two legs. Don't know who scored the goals but I've attached an interesting read which I remembered being posted on the Albion's OS when we played Manchester City in the semi finals last year.

    Thanks for the reply.

Can still remember the first match at Molineux where they were constantly attacking our goal, but this little number three of ours kept coming out of our penalty area with the ball. Statham never grew too much, but he could play, and forged a good career for himself..

Went to the second leg and I'm sure George Berry scored a own goal. Stathem paraded the pitch with a silver medal at the end that's all I can remember.

    Statham could more than play.

In my top ten all time Albion players and more like top five.........the best left back I’ve seen at the club and following Ray Wilson that’s saying something.

Robbed of around 80 England caps due to southern bias and that f king lump of lard Kenny Sansom......an absolute travesty.

I seem to remember a terrific crowd of around 14,000 for that home leg v Wolves if someone can confirm?

Best thing about Derek Monaghan was his perm which I must admit I tried to emulate for a period from 78 to 81 😎

No no no no no. Best thing Derek Monaghan ever did was score the only goal v Arsenal at Highbury early 80's. Travelled to the match with a car load of Arsenal fans who in the way only fans of 'big' clubs can be were so so c0cksure of a win against little old Albion. I stood very still and quiet on The North Bank when that went in.
I drove the same lads up to the Hawthorns for the return. Seem to remember we lost 1-3..
