Can anybody explain to me why.........

........ anybody would want to congregate outside the ground for a 'behind closed doors' match. There appears to be a great concern by the authorities that this is going to happen and are appealing to fans not to do so. Much better to sit in the comfort of your own home, watch the game and have a beer. Why stand outside in the rain and not be able to see any action. Don't get it!

I don’t get it either how players tonight are wearing on the backs of their shirts - black lives matter!! So it’s ok to put this on the shirts but not the poppy! Sorry this whole thing now is getting tiresome and turning many against the whole point of what should have happened in one demonstration.

The world really has gone barking mad

I’m with you mate.........fed up with the professional protesters and the hand wringing Liberals and the lowlife looters and the whole circus around “protest” movements.

You hardly hear a murmur when a travesty takes place involving a white person.......if one of us white blokes gets choked off by a black copper or there’s an injustice of any sort against us there wouldn’t be any rally anywhere.

Their strap line is totally wrong,it should read.......

I’m surprised that the BBC aren’t forcing their newsreaders to deliver the news on one knee!

Getting to be tiresome and boring now with this going on and on and on! I think it’s actually starting to divide people which is a shame!

What about the explosion of cancer without blood tests in the lockdown and the mental health of many - I think this needs focus now over the repetitive protests which are actually diluting the message as opposed to making it stronger!

Stripes, I'm please that somebody has responded to my original post and not gone off on a tangent!

What would have happened if just ONE player from last night's matches had views similar to yours (and I suspect many other very reasonable folk) and decided not to take a knee?

I suggest they all felt impelled to do so which for me is not what a free society we supposedly live in is all about.

I assume in these days of technical innovation that it is possible to watch the match on a smartphone whilst stood outside the ground. There is some possible sense about being outside a ground for a final if you were unable to get in and you can hear/sense the atmosphere of the crowd inside though with no crowd inside it seems a bit crazy. I must confess to once (many years ago) deliberately cycling up halfords lane past the ground when a match was being played but wasn't there for more than a couple of minutes.
