Thanks for the links, but for me it would be interesting to see the goals we've conceded as well. I know that these games are all about fitness rather than results, but I find it a bit worrying that we've played two teams at home from the level below us, and conceded 3 times in each and haven't managed a win. Hopefully we are saving the clean sheets for when it matters.

Yeah, it's a little bit worrying. However if our front 3 of Enzio, Roberts and Thomas/Dennis are good form on the day, it could be a case of bagging 3 or 4 goals to win by 1, rather than a defensive 'masterclass' that wins us the game. I've got a feeling we'll be playing Barnet and they aren't shy of taking the game to anyone. It could be something ridiculous like 4-3 and I fancy us in that game, even though they seem like they've become a bit of a bogey team in recent years? Yeovil I feel are a different proposition. They could easily just defend for the whole game and grab a horrible set piece. Looking at some of the EFL playoff games though, it's clear some teams are in better shape than others (Fleetwood being crap for example and losing 4-1 in a leg).

I really don't know. Hopefully the other teams have had similar problems with getting back up to fitness and match sharpness. After all, it's the National League and there would defo have been some boozy nights at home with the Mrs in lockdown.

It's a bit **** really. The way it was going form wise I fancied us to sneak in to automatic by the end of the season. Oh well, 3rd overall and a semi final of FA trophy is a great season considering. We should all be happy with the achievements whatever happens.

It is a bit of a worry, before lockdown our defence looked solid but to concede 6 goals in two games against lesser teams doesn't do a lot for your confidence.

People do realise that these ‘friendlies’ are glorified training sessions. All 24 players in the squad were probably used at different times trialling different partnerships etc and probably nowhere near the intensity of a full blooded competitive game. Come on guys, get a grip, let’s have some positive vibes floating in the ether.

I'm with you on this one mate. Before lockdown........ I thought we were playing some scintillating ( if I ever caught a fish ) stuff and I'm confident we'll come out the traps flying. COYP

Gonna be strange (as it will for us all ) a week tomorrow, knowing there's such a crucial game being played down the Lane and I'm sat up at home.

I think I am more concerned by what has happened in the play-offs so far.

Cheltenham had not conceded more than 1 goal this season at home but then Northampton put 3 past them after losing 2 - 0 at home. Then they scored 4 against Exeter after just squeezing into the play-offs.

Then Wycombe put 4 past Fleetwood.

Anything could happen, you never know, we could win 2 games on TV!

When the season stopped, we were the form team. Now we’re starting from scratch and will arguably be at a disadvantage against opponents who have had the benefit of a competitive game behind them (and a week’s recovery time).

Desperate as I am for us to get out of this league, I now see us as underdogs in these playoffs and won’t be surprised if we struggle to do ourselves justice next week. Hope I’m wrong, but 6 goals conceded against inferior opposition in 2 games has got the alarm bells ringing for me.

On a side note, we’ve played four friendlies against teams from the leagues below us this season (in weird circumstances, granted) and failed to win any of them.
