    Salary cap

37 of the 47 clubs in L1 & 2 have asked for a salary cap

    Good idea or bad?

Good idea but won’t work. The money clubs will find a way round it.

I think that it is the only way forward for the majority of clubs to survive. How they'll attract the odd Championship player is a concern though unless it's on lpan and the parent club pays the wage.

Perhaps it should apply to more than just football clubs

Salary cap will do 2 things.

Managers will need to earn their money and will show up the cr*p ones.

Force clubs to develop their own players.

Actually it will do 3 things with the third one being that unscrupulous owners will look for and exploit loopholes just like they have with FFP.

    Let's guess, I'll go for:

    League 1
    Portsmouth
    Ipswich
Sunderland (as they always pay stupid fees when allowed to do so, hence the mess they are in now)
    Oxford
Peterborough (reported to have spent 10 -12 million this season according to Evans)
    Coventry
Bolton (watch them spend when back in League 2)

    League 2
Salford (easily the big money spenders in that league)
    Plymouth
    Exeter

Macanthony, has a dig a Ipswich. Then a sly dig at everyone else that couldn't afford to finish the season.
