Good luck to him and hopefully he makes a return to ML for a league game next season. There's been some ridiculous sackings at Notts but his might just be the worst of the lot.

Agreed. He needed support to get rid of the rubbish and pick a team to play his way and for him.
Good luck. Hopefully we'll be getting 6 pts from them next season

If he had stayed which would have been sensible I don’t think we would have been relegated but Hardy was not a sensible chairman.

Good luck to him. His managerial career was developing nicely until Alan Hardy used him as a passing plaything. Tough job to do at Oldham though. I hope he is given a proper chance this time.

Agreed sir, his tough line approach didn't go down well with some of the more pampered players, he might just do well with Oldham

It was a bad decision to bring him in at the time as he was always going to be a manager that needed time to get his team playing the way he wanted to. But once Hardy brought him in he needed to stick with him and sacking him put the nail in the coffin that much deeper into the wood. I still think Ardley had enough time to have kept us up because we squandered so many chances to catch teams around us but I think there's almost no chance we'd have gone down with Kewell unless he had a terrible January.

After hearing about his personality and how he was behind the scenes I'm surprised Hardy thought bringing him in would be a good idea as he was clearly an egotistical arsehole too, and on that note, I'd imagine he'll probably clash with the Oldham owner early and often, it should be a fun watch from the outside

If he acts like the big I am, like he did at Notts then who knows how long he'll last. But have they got an owner who thinks he's the big I am like Notts did
