A more accurate description is a criminal who had his life needlessly ended by an overly aggressive police officer. George Floyd wasn't a saint, but he didn't deserve to die the way he did.

I can see it from both sides - I find all this seemingly compulsory 'taking the knee' at sporting events cringeworthy, but I also see that if his death becomes a catalyst for change it can only be a good thing.

I agree he shouldn't have died & it is cringeworthy. but he was a criminal beat up a 80 yr old lady for money but his name & picture in yer face just doesn't wash for me

True, as a role model you could certainly have picked better, because he seems to have achieved far more in death than he did in life!

I agree with the basic principles of BLM, but I'm concerned that ramming it down people's throats could have a negative effect.
