We have two in the Scotland A Squad, two in the U21 squad and one in the NI squad. That's half a team of internationalists and we're tied to bottom place in the league. It's a strange world.

You forgot big Bevis though I don't know what side of the argument he strengthens...

If Gallacher gets a start I'll be amazed - he's half the player of last season thus far.

He’s still one of our best players but you are right, Sieb, he’s not at last season’s level and I wonder if the captaincy is a burden for him. Hartley was not as good a player but he relished the captaincy role. Dec, when interviewed after he was announced as captain, was talking about “still being the joker” etc and just did not come across as really mature enough for the role. Trevor Carson comes across much better, but it’s harder to captain a side from the goalkeeper position. We really lack an obvious alternative amongst the outfield players.

Agree - I've heard Campbell mentioned but I think he's better focusing on his own game for now.

Wouldn't be surprised if Gallagher starts v Israel, our options at CB are absolutely awful.

If Clarke goes with a 3 he may well start ... if a 2, might be Tierney and that cart-horse McKenna.
