    NL Fixtures 8th September

Gloucester City @GCAFCofficial tweeted "Fixture News. We have received confirmation that the National League North fixtures will be released on 8th September"

So presumably ours will be released the same day.

If we have to play the first few home games BCD, I suppose we'd want teams like Maidenhead, Bromley, Boreham Wood, Woking and Sutton who would likely attract the smallest gates of the season in normal circumstances.

Not sure it matters who we get as we will only be allowed a maximum number in the ground if we are only allowed say 2k in we will get that no problem.

Not sure if away fans will be allowed in either as nothing has been clarified.

My worry now is if the cases rise then the season will be cut short again and clubs will go bust.

Think the talk was around 25% of the grounds capacity for supporters, for Notts that would be around 5,000

Do you think clubs, especailly higher up clubs, will try to ban away supporters?

It looks like we’ll start the season with an away game. On the opening day of the National League fixtures, 3 October, Forest are at home. They’re also at home on Boxing Day.

Well I thought that too but it seems they will put a maximum amount in the grounds first but time for things to change.

It might not be up to higher clubs the govt might make it a rule and secondly clubs wont care where money comes from as long as they get it.

I still dont understand how lower league teams can survive on 25-30% crowds.

Wasn’t it something like 15% of capacity in stage 1, 25% in stage 2? So initially, we’d be looking at just over 2,000 allowed in - and how do you prioritise who gets in in those circumstances?

If it is 15% of capacity we should be allowed close on 3,000 fans. If that was offered to season ticket holders initially, we would normally fill it easily, but when you consider that a fair proportion of our supporters are elderly and might not want to take the risk, it could leave some tickets left to whoever is deemed next on the list. Seeing as we have far more seats than fans, I think we would cope better than most.

Linky to news that steps 3-7 is moving to 30% in a couple of weeks. The hope is and it’s being pushed in Parliament is that steps 1-3 follow suit. As a club 30% would be our normal average. My concern is that football fans from Forest etc may need fix of football and find themselves at ML. Plenty of clubs down south that would have the same problem IMO.

Interesting. Although due to the current situation it's hard to predict actual demand with any accuracy, I think that after being denied proper attendance for so long we would have little problem in attracting 6,000 Notts fans to a game if that was the limit. I suppose some might not want to take the risk, but if the usual priority protocols are used for high demand games the tickets should be sold without Forest fans being involved.

I assume that, like cinemas, you’ll have to buy tickets in advance. It also means we may have to use the County Road side for home fans too, to achieve the social distancing requirements.

Also raises the question of season tickets - how does that work now? Your regular seat may be “blocked out” due to social distancing for another season ticket holder on your side.
