To be fair to the lad he’s probably been to Spain a lot of times where it’s rife that the bribes Police take from holiday makers to get released is part of their income! I know this to be true cos I got locked up there and could only be released if I paid them a ransom! So he’s probably thought they were the same in Greece?
If his story is true I wouldn’t have been too happy if the Police were more interested in me than the people I was telling them had injected my Sister with a drug.
He’s appealed against his conviction so his solicitors must be confident of they have a case here.
