    Three Weeks Today.......

    .........the season starts.

How predictable and how depressing to be involved with our club in any shape or form.

    Manager,

    Staff,

    Remaining players,

    Supporters.

To constantly be the worst club in the top flight and one of the worst in English football in terms of sorting out our squad before the first ball is kicked.

It must be so depressing to be Bilic or one of the remaining players when you turn up to train and see you can barely make up two five a side teams to train.

To see the gaps left by a mainstay like Brunt etc..........too know you’re up against a vibrant Leicester side in 21 days.

We are an abysmal club when it comes to transfers. I went to school with an ex pro who’s a top football agent and he’s always said that Albion are the worst of clubs to deal with on transfers.

Lai is a f king disgrace and it’s about time the fans started embarrassing him in his own country on social media at the very least.

Now is his best chance of getting a decent price for us so why doesn’t he just f u c k off?

Pathetic little man who’s hamstrung our great club with his ineptness.

You're right, he hasn't invested a penny in the club since he took over. This fact was mentioned in the media very recently but I can't remember on what platform. I'm usually optimistic regarding Albion but if this continues how are we possibly going to cope in the Premier? Virtually every player we are supposed to be interested in joins another club. We've got a strike force that couldn't score regularly in the Championship. We need to bring in two proven strikers and get rid of Austin and Zohore. I'd keep HRK as a sub to bring on if required. The goalkeeping position is worrying as Johnstone is OK, just, but we'll need a top 'keeper as he's sure to be busy this coming season. We still haven't signed Krov yet, God knows why. Robinson is another. There are also other areas that need strengthening. I just don't understand what's going on. LAI, EITHER INVEST OR GO!

This is exactly why I was so lukewarm about whether we were promoted or not. Not for one minute did I celebrate promotion which people who know me could not believe.

Of course from a business point of view we had to get promoted, just for the tv money. But who benefits from that? Who controls the money?
Top of the list surely is the owner?

He can spend nothing on new players, nothing to agents etc and pocket a big wedge of money for himself.

Don’t like all the hype of the PL and if we are not going to compete properly in it (like Norwich last year) then what is the point, except of course if you are the one benefitting from the extra income.

No ambition, maybe, be does the club have any either? If they don’t then who is that bothered about being in the PL just to be in it and line some ridiculously rich people’s pockets further.

I think we’ll have to wait and see what happens over the next 2 weeks.

That said, if this continues to be the case with us then it does look like Lai will take the tv money to reduce his losses and most likely sell us when we’ve gone down. This is the problem with foreign investment, it’s all about money. These people have no empathy for the club the way we do. Lai’s Advisors will have considered every scenario in order to safeguard his investment and dig him out of the hole he’s in regardless of the footballing outcome which is secondary

Could not agree more Mick! Our squad is far worse now than when we almost blew promotion! Johnstone in goal - three donkeys up front ( not even good enough for the championship ) and no creativity without Diangana and Krov! What a joke!

Shambles so f uck off Lai and Dowling the puppet! I would totally understand if Bilic walks with his middle finger up!

The ambition will then be to get someone like Appleton!

Haha could you imagine him playing against Leicester ?

He’d be stood there static flapping his arms about that much he’d look like he’d be trying to take off

More alarmingly - can you imagine most of our squad playing against Leicester! Who will stop Vardy and Barnes? Will Johnstone be composed and give the defense confidence? Who will provide the creativity in midfield? Do you really honestly think Phillips is any better than a Brunt? Do you think our three donkeys up front will unlock their defense and be ruthless in front of one of the best keepers in the division?

Brunt looked half decent ( still ) when he came on a few times at the end. Why is that? Is it because those around him were piss poor on many occasions?

Did I say Brunt would’ve played against Leicester?

Whilst Brunt is now past his best, he's better than some in our squad, and that was proved when he came on in the last few games. I would much rather have Brunt than Phillips or Townsend, that's for sure. I would not pay Phillips in washers and don't get me going on our strikers or Johnstone who is the worst keeper seen for a long time at West Brom.
