    Injuries

    And so it starts...

Dubravka out for 6-8 weeks according to the Slovakian coach. Darlow isn't up to the task and I've no idea about Gillespie...other than the fact that he was Motherwell's second choice 'keeper.

Gayle? Well who knows how many weeks or even months he could be out for but the very fact that his injury is classed as a major worry for us is a worry in itself. Yes, he had a purple patch after the restart but we all know he's not Premier League quality (and his injury comes as no surprise either).

Joelinton...is he shielding? I mean, he's been shielding from his role as a striker for his entire time here so no change there. Whatever the reason, his absence from training means he won't be fit enough to start the season.

Muto...is he playing his own version of 'Where's Wally'?

So, basically, we'll start the season with Carroll leading the line (until his inevitable injury) unless we buy someone.

    Awesome.

Bruce will look at his list of purple replacements, select a couple and say indigo. It's a policy which will leave us marooned at the bottom of the table and we won't mauve from there. Lilac what I did?

    Aye - Joke.

It's like this at every club Bruce has managed at though, I remember doing a thread when he took over that showed the amount of injuries he had at a club is always a lot.

It's because he likes to focus on stamina trainning apperently so players pick up more injuries.
