Not the strongest Newcastle side but Shelvey , Ritchie , Carroll , Longstaff and Hayden start so not bad .

Difficult conditions up there by the sounds of it , blowing a reight gale and it's not much of a game , both sides struggling to come to terms with it .

Assuming there must have been a lot of subs coming on in the second half from both sides because we had 10 minutes time added on !!! .

Not heard we've got anymore friendlies lined up which is strange because it's still another two weeks to the opener against Luton .

I know we haven't long since finished last season and this pre season is significantly different to anything we've seen before understandable .

Still like to see one more friendly personally before we get to the proper stuff .
