Have to agree with everything you say 123 except your opinion of Ajayi today. I thought that the way he was left for dead by Barnes was worrying. Maybe playing alongside Ivanovic will help him.
Didn't want to be all negative, so I've tried to be balanced...
Some positives
- I thought our best period of the game was the first 30 mins or so, we looked reasonably solid and we looked a threat going forward
- I think Furlong played pretty well and got in behind that full back a couple of times
- Leicester are a very good side, they'll be a hard game for anyone. And they'll finish in the top 8 this season. Its deflating, but its not like losing at home to another side in the bottom half
- The transfer window is still open. The side playing today won't be our full strength side at the end of the window.
Some Negatives (of which there were a few, so I've scaled this down a bit)
- We looked ineffective going forwards, a bit clueless even. No shots on target, and really carried no attacking threat 2nd half.
- Our substitutions, offered us nothing. And to be honest aren't good enough for this level. Harper, Edwards and HRK. The first two should probably be out on loan in the championship
- Felt their goal was coming, they dictated the game from about 30mins onwards. I don't think Bilic got the tactics wrong, it worked at the start of the game, but he could have tweaked it around half time.
- I don't see Bartley or O'Shea as good enough. Question marks over a few others as well. In fact, the only one of the back 5 that started today who I think is Prem quality is Ajayi.
- Sawyers, had a terrible game. Serious question marks about him already. He's not a box to box midfielder. His best position is sitting in front of the defence in a 'quarterback' type position. But he gave the ball away far too often and was probably most at fault for their first goal
Some Hopeful thoughts
Its not like we lost to a Fulham at home. A lot depends on who we bring in, if Grant, Gallagher and Ivanovic sign then that's 3 players who will automatically come into the spine of the team. We probably need 5 more players in total to just compete and we know we haven't got the funds for that.
Finish 17th or above and Bilic would have worked wonders this season. I still think we have the best manager we could possibly have to achieve that.

I think that we have the makings of an attractive and successful side, just not in this season or this division.
Thought Harper done well when he come on.
Weem s h I t!
Grounds being closed might turn out to be a good thing as it will save me a lot of money watching us getting beaten!
Thought we looked ok until we went behind. After that it was one way traffic. We need Garant, Krov, Ivanovic and Gallagher. We may have a chance. Not sure the formation suited us either - we are built to defend. Our only chance with the players we have is to have a go.....not shut up shop.
Maybe a second lockdown will save us......
Pretty well as I saw it 123 buddy.
Bartley started decently, but was always going to be out of his depth at this level. Ivanović is essential. Sawyers is similarly punching above his weight.
The subs sadly detracted and Bilic must have picked up their deficiency at this level. Maybe he was making a point re the new intakes ?
So, with some time still transfer wise, their is added emphasis to get the pending deals over the line.
As an aside...what a desperate Sky match commentary !
