    Burnley salaries down £10m

It looks like our salaries have dropped by around £10m when comparing annual figures in Sportrac, though these won’t include bonuses. Mike Garlic will find some comfort in these numbers.
We could pay Wilshere a decent salary and still be below last year. Not sure how much we are paying of Gibson’s wages!

At present it says our bill is £28m this year with Westwood, Stephens, BPF, Pieters and Dunne missing I guess that and a Gibson contribution of 30% will add around £6m taking us to £34m.

Last year was estimated at £45m but Drinkwaters £5m figure is wrong as he wasn’t here the full year and Chelsea were paying some - I hope. Pieters and BPF salaries are missing so maybe add £2m For them and £2m for Drinkwater. Total £44m

    2018 Figure was £41m

I don't know where these websites get their info from, but the latest set of BFC accounts for 2018/19 show wages/staff costs as £87m, the previous year 2017/18 they were £81m, a big jump from 2016/17 when they were £61m.

Incidentally, at the moment I just can't access our accounts from the internet, previously I've never had a problem, just Google it and bob's your uncle. At the moment the only link I can find find puts me onto the club website and the link from there doesn't work. Anyone else got a link to the accounts, or are they deliberately hiding the facts ?

Yes but those are wages minus bonuses which would be good being 7th. Say the bonuses are 20% of salary that’s £10m and also include SD, his team say £5m, Chief Exec and 200 club staff say £2m. That’s £60m and their National Insurance, pension contributions and possibly expenses lease cars can add another 20% to everyone’s wage etc. That’s another £12m total £72m
A 30% bonus would add an extra £5m to the above.

To get the accounts Companies House website tells you each year on this link I hope

Cheers OC, I'm in, never had to do that before, a simple google search always sufficed. You're a star.

Just on bonuses and wages, I noticed a big jump in our total wage bill in 16/17, but that was to be expected because we were back in the PL having won promotion, the following year it went up again by about £20m, I thought this was probably due to bonuses, paid because we'd jumped up the PL to 7th, and earned about £15m more in TV money and the players got their share. We dropped back down the league the following season and I was expecting the wage bill to drop a bit consequently, but it didn't, it went up again, by another £6m. At this point I began to think our wage bill might be getting a bit excessive, out of control even, The lack of signings despite pleas from the manager, the contracts being allowed to run down, makes me think maybe Mr Garlick has come to the same conclusion.

Have a peep on the Endole web site and go to Burnley FC Holdings Limited for a fairly comprehensive review. I use Endole for work and they are totally reliable.
