    The England Team.

    My a r s e!

It’s finally happened.....they’ve played a player I’ve never heard of in Saka from Arsenal.

    Keane FFS 😫

Have to agree with you, they hand out England caps like smarties. Gone are the days when you had to serve an apprentiship in league football before you were even considered to represent your country. How many caps would the likes of Tony Brown and Ray Barlow have gained in today's game? They actually had one cap apiece. Crazy

Hi, Bobby Moore said in autobiography, that watching Ray Barlow was a big influence on his game.
Didn't know England was playing tonight, gave up watching them years ago used to go home and away.

Unfortunately, I lost interest in international football a long time ago. For me, top flight football is going the same way, too.

Same here. Have been going to non league GFC but unfortunately, due to Covid, they cannot travel to the UK so are out of the English league for a season.

Football is on the decline for me.

I remember as a kid in the 60s/70s when watching England was like an institution. I even cried when they lost 3-2 to the Germans at Mexico '70 (incidentally, the best world cup ever).
Now, I make a point of not watching them. Boring, predictable football played by any number of players many of who can't even begin to compete with the Bobby Moore's, the Bobby Charlton's and the Gordon Banks' of the world, who we still talk about with great fondness all these years later.
Yep, international football is one big turn off for me and an unwelcome distraction from club football, although even that is losing some of its gloss !!

I started to go to non league and they actually care about the fans and community. Top flight football since the pandemic has turned off thousands with the greed! How can useless players like Zohore be on 50 grand a week which most don’t earn in a year!! It’s insane!!

Put a salary cap in place - let supporters part own a chunk of the club as they do in Germany and enforce that Sky money goes into the footballing club pot for all clubs - not just Premier and Championship!!

Salary cap and supporter ownership is needed I feel, football in its current form isn’t sustainable and the money just sloshes about at the top.
