    Burnley

We think we are being run by a tight fisted board. Burnley have only spent £1m. They've lost their first 3 games.

We have them next up at home and its a massive game. We really can't afford to lose it. They are a direct relegation rival.

Don't agree 123! They have quality in most positions and don't honestly feel ( like us ) they will be around the drop zone. I can't see us winning this to be honest unless Gallagher, Ivanovic and new forward starts - not on the bench but starts so Sawyers must be dropped. Krov would be a good one too for consideration.

I do agree though it's a massive game

I think they've got quality, and it won't be an easy game at all. If we want to stay up though we've got to try and find 3 teams to finish above. They could be in the mix.

For me Burnley are in that risky poison being a bit stale in the PL, a bit like we became as did Stoke and many others before then.

This will be their fifth season on the trot in the PL but let’s not forget 13 seasons of the last 20 they have been in the Championship, with only 7 in total being in the PL. Maybe not seen as a yo-yo club but still not one that gets a lot of investment and therefore will always be potentially one bad season away from relegation.

Pity but a community club like ours and therefore very hard to get very established in the PL.

Every chance Burnley will drop this year but they’ll still be above us.

They were terrible last year up until the beginning of January when we beat them at their place, after that they picked up a few wins and never looked back. Southampton did the same after losing 9-0 at home to Leicester, when you've been in this league a few seasons with the same manager the squad is usually good enough to see it through.

I had us written off in the Championship sitting 13th in February and then 10 wins on the spin - it's a long season.

I’ve got Burnley like us propping up the division.
But a good acid test is to compare the team we are playing and see how many of our players would get into their squad.
I’ve done it for all 4 so far and it’s quite depressing.
Pereira and Diangana may have been on the bench for Southampton was my conclusion.
With Burnley both would make their team and that’s it ! Any they are one of our main rivals this season

As someone said earlier, we built a team to get out of the Championship rather than a team to survive in the Prem .....it’s probably our weakest side ever to start a Prem season ...... maybe Megson’s first promotion season would also be a contender .... but that side had grit and battling ability... whereas our current lot don’t ..... at least based on the last few games.....
