    Football stadiums

I can't see any new stadiums being built or extended for years, if ever.
I can't see crowd's coming back for a long time. Eerie when you see grounds like OT echoing to the shout's of player's.
Football isn't the same without a crowd, a lot of player's use the crowd to incite them.
I believe a lot of the crazy results we have seen this season have been down to the empty arena's.
Spurs winning six at OT, Leicester scoring five at the Ethiad, Villa beating Liverpool 7-2.
Not forgetting Barcelona losing eight at home.
I don't think these scores would have been the same had they played the games in full stadiums.

It’s an interesting question - when will fans be allowed back in stadiums. I can’t see it this season. Maybe some reduced capacity attendances after March when the weather improves and the virus hopefully subsides. But this year the virus was spreading like wildfire in March and April. Also difficult to see a return to normality - packed out stadiums for big matches for at least a couple of years. Vaccine or no vaccine. Social distancing, masks and hand sanitisation are here for the long term in my opinion. Also raises a question if fans feel safe going back into stadiums even if they are allowed.

It will be interesting to see what the long term effects are to football once people get out the habit of going. Add in the way the Premier League has acted of late in hiking the cost of PPV at a time when the country is on its knees and the threatened restructuring to take advantage of the current pandemic and I can see many people not returning.

I think this year has given many people time to reflect and reassess. I'm not sure how well spoiled millionaire footballers fit in with many peoples priorities any more. I know 2 or 3 committed fans who have openly said they have lost a lot of interest in the game when viewed in the wider context of everything going on.

I can understand all the negative opinions voiced regarding football at the present moment. Having said this, even with empty stadiums and the issue of how much to charge for televised games, it is the one thing that can relieve the boredom and gives us something to talk and argue about. If we go into complete lockdown then won't we lose this. There's only so much you can do in the garden at this time of the year.

If we go into complete lockdown then we will lose football, racing and other sports.
On the plus side we might stay in the premier league a bit longer.
