The lad who played Carrot in Catweazle died young too, only 56, while Sam the farmhand only made 52.
Charlotte Coleman from Worzel Gummidge was only early thirties when she pegged out.

There have been lot's of children's TV series that adults found enjoyable after a day at work.
Catweazle, Follyfoot, Black Beauty all were good and with appearances by some well known actors of the day.
One i used to like was Brendon Chase, set in the nine**** twenties it's about three upper class boy's who run away from home and live like outlaws on the chase.
The series is forty years old now and the youngest of the boy's played by Paul Erangey, died in 2004 aged just 37.
Kid's TV series aren't as good as they were.
The all time classic has to be the sixties Robinson Crusoe.
The lad who played Carrot in Catweazle died young too, only 56, while Sam the farmhand only made 52.
Charlotte Coleman from Worzel Gummidge was only early thirties when she pegged out.
Now this is going back a bit ..... maybe to the Sixties ..... but I remember going to the local Odeon every Saturday morning and they played these kids’ adventure Serials ..... great shows building up the suspense to bring you back every week (wish I could remember the titles) that and the weekly feature film. Great kids shows ..... the Odeon used to be packed out ....from more innocent times ..... feeling nostalgic this morning ..... must be memories of Des O’Connor .....
I loved Robinson Crusoe Des.
Just hearing that music reminds me of school summer holidays.
Such a class piece of music.

I must have been 7 or 8 when this children's Tv programme was shown in the early 70s. It featured a man called Tarot who used stage magic and supernatural powers and was on weekly on a Monday, I think, and I watched it when I came home from school. It was called ACE OF WANDS and the only reason I remember it was because of its brilliant soundtrack. Check it out below and see if this dredges up any nostalgic memories of this great tv kids programme (I used to like the kids from 47A as well)

I remember Tarot.
One series that made me feel uncomfortable was the Tomorrow People.
They had young boys who used to end up in various states of undress, then as soon as they reached 16 they would replace them.
I'll wager one or two involved with that programme were sweating following the Jimmy Saville scandal.
