PSG Game - players walked off

In the PSG game, all the players of both sides have walked off.

Apperently the 4th official has called either Demba Ba, or the assitant manager of turkish team a "negro".

Hell of a statement from the two teams to both walk off.

Good to see. Demba Ba has done more good in the fight against racism there than what players kneeling for 8 month have achieved.
Well done Demba. Don't ever change lad.

    Sorry but that’s wrong .

Call the police, arrest him and get on with the game.

As I understand it the Cameroons guy said something out of order and the 4th official told the ref. The ref then asked the 4th official who it was and the 4th official said ‘the black guy’ (negro in spanish).
At the risk of being devoured by a tidal wave of self righteousness, what’s the problem? If he’d described him as the bald guy, guy with beard, fat, ugly, tall, bow legged, etc, etc. would there be a problem? I mean he is black (or is he ashamed of the fact?).
One white player on the Ivory Coast team (never been one - discrimination?) is described as the white guy. Do all the players walk off?
There was no swearing or negative criticism, just called him black.......which he is.

Could be that you're right, and there was nothing in it. Could also be that he used 'black' in a derogatory manner - it is not always the words used, but more how they are used in the given context.

    I guess we'll never know.

Very true. There’s often a fair bit of grey area in these name calling cases and cultural differences play a part.

....think this is a step too far. Since when does being described as black (Negro in Portugese) become rascist? If I wss in an office in Nigeria and wss described as the white guy, would I be offended?

    Would I fk.
