    Bin Zayed - Derby

Not sure what to make of this - I was gutted when this one fell through for us a couple of years ago and naturally blamed Ashley but they might not be the saviours they first appeared to be. Could just be click bait which did its job and lured me in, time will tell I suppose.

Crikey...that doesn't look good for Derby. I can totally understand how their fans feel, too...we all can. With the prospect of the dream scenario-being taken over by a rich Saudi-you naturally begin to allow yourself to dream big and even though you keep telling yourself 'it hasn't happened yet, it hasn't happened yet' you still get drawn in by the mounting hysteria, hope, optimism.

So when it doesn't happen, in the same way you told yourself 'I don't think it'll happen' but secretly you thought it might, you can yell yourself 'well, I never thought it would happen anyway' but, secretly, you're gutted.

Counter claim in The Chron from the group. But then again, they’re supposedly bringing McClaren back as a technical director so you have to wonder who’s advising them on the finer points of English football

Does look a bit dodge doesn't it.

Have to feel for Derby as well, like Pat said, it's the hope that kills you.

When our Saudi takeover fell through, every fan and I mean every fan of other clubs in all leagues thought it was hilarious. I will do the same if this falls through and practically pìss myself. No sympathy from me whatsoever
